I am sending an email using java mail API.
I want to know, If the smtp server is not working or the server is down then how can I know?
Is there any system/logic which can be used to do that?

There’s a class in the javax.mail package which provides methods to check the validity of the SMTP server. It’s javax.mail.Authenticator.checkConnect():
