In this article, you are going to know how to use SynthLab to make your own music.
Virtual synth has always been a great source of inspiration for many musicians, as it gives them the possibility of quickly creating any sound they like. Although these generators have long been the source of many ingenious tunes, most of them are limited to a single instrument or a few. Sometimes, these sound generators also contain a limitation in the sense that the sound you get from them is not always satisfactory. What to do? Let’s take the virtual synthesizer to the next level!
In this article, you are going to know how to use SynthLab to make your own music.
First, we need to setup our instrument.
And we will not concern ourselves with polyphony, you only have one instrument here, so it should be done in two seconds.
Then, we can start with the synthesis.
The default preset you have chosen is the Micro NRO-5, with a sound frequency of 330 Hz.
This is enough to create a simple guitar sound or a bass sound.
But we can not limit ourselves to that, as it can be the perfect tool to create any sound we like.
In that case, we can adjust the frequency with a range from 10Hz to 3000 Hz and a step of 0.1Hz, up to 16Khz.
Here is what we will get by sampling the first module.
When you are sure you have tuned your frequency in a satisfactory manner, it is time to dive into the control.
It is up to you if you want to make a simple preset or a custom preset for this synth.
We will do the first one.
First, let’s choose the sound you want to create with this synth.
The sound you will get will be exactly what you have sampled.
To change the voice, simply press the button “voice 1” on the module.
If you like what you hear, you can go to the next module to try something else.
To change the first module, simply press the button “
What’s New in the?
1.In addition to frequency, SynthLab offers you a broad palette of parameters: waveforms, periodicities, sounds, generators, oscillators, envelope generator. You can design or play sounds by adding oscillators, VCOs, VCFs, VCAs, envelopes, filters, amps, modulators.
2.Solo: the program allows you to easily create a module, solo it and make it easily editable with the floating windows.
3.In this version, there is a set of parameters that can be saved in the file and loaded at a later time. The parameters that are in the file are in the same order as the order of the parameters in the program.
4.Before you begin to draw the modules, a short tutorial is given.
5.Modules can be divided into 8 categories: tones, generators, modulators, oscillators, envelopes, sync, VCO, VCF. In the generator category are included the following different types: sine, saw, square, triangle, noise.
6.There are many controls in the module, as well as in the spectrum. The big buttons make it easier to perform a given operation. The rest of the controls are simply placed on the bottom of the spectrum to facilitate easier manipulation.
7.To play the sound of a module, you can simply press the keys and listen to the sound without having to adjust the parameters.
8.The program is available for Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP, the minimum requirement is Windows XP.
9.SynthLab has been designed to run quickly and is only a few megabytes. The program is organized in folders and files, so in the main window you can see the program files, the folders for the modules and the sound they contain and the folders that contain the resources for the program.
10.The program has two ways of saving: the module can be saved in a file, and the files can be loaded at any time in the program.
11.You can open any module in its own window, thus making it easier to play different modules simultaneously.
12.You can connect all the elements of the modules. If you do so, the program will render the connection in a particular color.
13.You can use any sound module.
14.The demo modules are quite fun and you can enjoy them when you have no previous sound synthesis experience.
